Eva is apparently left-handed. She draws, eats, and uses scissors with her left hand. Sports, where it would actually be somewhat advantageous to be left handed, she is right-handed. She swings bats, golf clubs and hockey sticks right handed and throws balls that way as well. Jared and I are both right-handed so we were surprised to have a left-handed kid since I thought that was somewhat hereditary. Jared has kind of blamed me for the discrepancy saying that when I taught Eva to use a crayon, I handed it straight across to her left hand. I thought there might be some truth to that...
So, now as you can see above, Jack is learning how to draw. I didn't want to make the same mistake twice (no offensive to my lefty friends!) so I just put the crayon down on his highchair and let him pick it up and play with it. He passed it back and forth and finally settled on his left hand! He's only 8 months old so a little early to make the call but really? By the way, he loves drawing just as much as Eva did...
