Too metro?

Dude's tank had become so overrun with algae, no amount of scrubbing seemed to work so I decided to get him some new stuff for his home. I changed his color theme to something I thought was a little more cheerful. Jared liked it when he came home yesterday but then said that Dude looked very metro-sexual in there and that the tank would probably better belong in our old Clarendon loft. Now I feel self-conscious for Dude. Is this too trendy for him? What will the neighbors think...
