Jack had to get a flu booster and a vaccine booster last week. Jack is seven months old now and at his 6 month appointment he was in the 95
th percentile for height and weight while his head was actually off the charts. Obviously he has gotten bigger since then but he won't be measured again until he's 9 months. Anyway, Eva starts singing "You are my Sunshine" to Jack so he won't cry while getting his shots (she does this all the time at home when he
cries at it really works!) and sure enough, Jack doesn't even flinch while getting stabbed in the thigh. The doctor goes for his next leg, Eva starts singing, and again- no response at all from Jack. Now I get worried. "Is something wrong? Why isn't he reacting to the pain?!" The doctor smiles and whispers "Sometimes, if baby's are really fat, they can't feel the needle." Nice. In Jack's defense, at least he is proportional and is as super tall as he is super fat!
