Parade and Christmas Tree lighting

We went to the Reston "Holiday Parade" at the Town Center on Friday. Pretty awesome. There were 60 different groups marching in the hour long affair and that included nearly 10 Macy's-style balloons! Notice I took a picture of Eva in front of the My Little Pony balloon :) We were actually supposed to be in the parade with Eva's pre/play school but had to take Jack to the Drs unexpectedly and were a bit late showing up. In hindsight it worked out better because you can't really watch it if you're a part of it and it's not like we were on a float, we would have just been free advertising. Eva thought the marching band was cool, she liked the drums. I liked the Mickey and Minnie Mouse swing dancers. Jack didn't really have an opinion as he didn't feel well and was bundled up, sleeping in the stroller the whole time. He is doing better now.

That night they had the Christmas tree lighting and Jared was able to get home just in time. Santa and Mrs Claus came back and lit up the tree for everyone and then we sang Christmas carols for awhile with a choir. It was very magical actually, complete with snow machines lightly blowing snow down on us! Unfortunately, our camera, which you might have noticed from our blurry, funky-colored pictures, kind of sucks and wouldn't work right so the below picture is the best I've got. No worries though, I've been doing my research and and we found the camera we wanted on mega sale today and Jared has it on order. You should see a nice improvement in my family photos soon :) Thanks, Baby!!!!
