We spent Thanksgiving at my Godparent's house (Aunt Pat and Uncle George as they are called), as we have the last several years. It's always a lot of fun. This year Eva ordered their daughter, Tracy, all over the house "looking for stuff." This stuff ended up being most of Aunt Pat's Christmas decorations that apparently Eva felt should be put up immediately. True to form, Eva refused to eat anything other than ice cream for dinner. However, Jack had his first bit of real food! He is just about to turn 6 months old and that is the new age they say you have to wait to feed them. He has been making chewing motions with his mouth while watching us eat dinner for quite some time so this has been long overdue. He loved the mashed potatoes and the turnips he had. Uncle George started giving Jack ice water on a silver spoon to try and make his poor little teething self feel better. It worked! I wish I had a video of him lunging for the spoon as it came his way. The picture above is of Uncle George feeding Jack some water in his saucer. I hope everyone had a great day! There is certainly a lot in our lives to be thankful for...
