Jack's 4 month appointment

Jack had his four month Drs appointment and got, not surprisingly, a clean bill of health. He passed or exceeded all of his milestones- he was even willing to demonstrate what he can do for our Dr! Eva has always thrown a fit and refused to let our pediatrician handle her without screaming, so she's always had to take my word for it that Eva is a super-genius. However, when we were at Jack's check-up and the Dr left the room to get his vaccinations, Eva got out of her chair and started dancing around and singing her ABCs (something she's been been able to do for almost a year now). As soon as the Dr opened the door, Eva quit singing and jumped back into the chair. "I caught you!" laughed our Dr but Eva just sat quietly. Eva was a willing participant in her flu shot though... but she got the special nose spray vaccine they have now and thought it was funny. Jack was the one who got all the sticking... but Eva helped to hold his hand.

People often make the same observation about Jack, he looks like a linebacker! He's perfectly proportional, between the 75-95th percentile in length, weight and head size, but he's obviously going to be a sturdy kid. He weighs 16 1/2 lbs. Eva only weighs 31 lbs and she's 2 years older! She is a girl though and also totally proportional in everything but between the 50-75th percentile.

At any rate, Jack is coming along nicely and is still very easy to make smile or giggle! Jared and I think he has Santa Claus eyes. They are very kind and twinkle when he grins.
