Yesterday was Eva's first day of pre-school. She was really annoyed with me taking pictures. She will be going mornings twice a week this year, Thursdays and Fridays. She has long gone to a "mommy and me" type school but this is the first time I have let her off on her own. Much harder for me than for her, just as I'd hoped. I barely got her back pack off today and in her cubby before she was off and playing with her new friends. I let her pick her outfits as much as possible now. This is what she selected for her first day. Jared thinks her personal style is somewhere between Punky Brewster and Courtney Love. Maybe a little but she looks so pretty no matter what. I'm just so proud of my sweet little girl.
Jack started Eva's old school with me today. He did amazingly and I was surprised at how advanced he was compared to the other kids. I know he's smart but when my only frame of reference is Eva the super-genius, I think I might forget to appreciate just how brilliant he is as well. I always notice more just how handsome and happy he is :) Love that little boy...
